This was touched on in another thread but let's make it have it's own. What would be some good ideas for promos for the games?
I've allready said Twister bobbleheads. |

Essential promotional nights (based on what drew best last season) that need to return would be Christian Faith Night, Education Day (if the league is still doing them next year), NASCAR Night, and the St. Patty's game.
Continue doing the Wet and Thirsty nights I suppose for the weekday games, even though attendance was atrocious I guess the addition of the booze did bring a few extra college kids out to games, and anything's better than nothing.
Some ideas that me and friends have been throwing around for a while include at least another bobblehead night (I hope they get a new company to make them besides the ones that made Dionne's however), something associated with Twister like you said. I again think it would be cool to see the little plush dolls return like they did with Snowbird. Or even if they made a Twister bobblehead. Heck, the Jungle Kats did it with their Boomer (err- were supposed to have anyway).
I would also like to see the trading cards return as a giveaway like they used to do. I know some ECHL teams still do them.
Perhaps bring back the Hawaiin Party nights and wear those sweaters to get auctioned off again.
Lastly I would love to see a Cincinnati Hockey Histoty-oriented night, including the Stingers, Mohawks ect, heck even the Ducks for all I care.
If I would tell them one thing though, GIVE SOMETHING AWAY when you have promotions! I thought they had a decent list last year, however I can't say I have much to show for attending them.

Bobbleheads are an absolute must to bring people in. I agree with most of the items you stated but the most important thing is to get the team name out in the public. Shirts, pennants, stickers to put on your car and similar items would be great. Photos, pen or other smaller things that say Cyclones also help but probably most will quickly disappear into a drawer. But no matter what - something should be given away every game. |

| I want fight night back. Me vs. Trembley in the middle of the ice. I think I can outdo his water bottle...LOL In all seriousness tho, Bobbleheads are a must! Twister gets my vote. Or even a Paul Lawless...Who didn't like him. I believe if they have special guests, like Denny Hamlin was last year, they appear for more than 2 minutes before they sign autographs. He sat next to me for a whole period, but that left out all you folks. How about finding out who's in concert around town and getting BIG names to do the Anthem and sign autographs? I also nix the Faith night. The wife wouldn't let me go to that game..LOL If anyone knows Twister, tell him I still would like to "stage" a fight with him. Can't wait to see everyone!! |

| Faith Night isn't exactly exciting for me (or my game buddies either) either, but it brought in one of the biggest crowds of the year, so I'm all for it returning. I think it may have even been the biggest if not for the kids at Education Day, if I remember my numbers correctly |

I was looking for you that night. I figured that they had an emergency prayer session to run you out of the building. |

Problem with a Paul Lawless bobblehead is a giant head and no neck!Another popular giveaway is the fleece blankets or even a beach towel. How about getting Argosy,Grand Vic or Belterra for a sports dice (3" x 3" x 3" type) giveaway. |

| In regards to the fan club bringing back Chuck A Puck, all we do is sell the pucks (in a manner of speaking) for the team. |
Hockey is life. All the rest is just small stuff.

I like the Casino idea. Someone get on that! Isn't Argosy one of the team or arena sponsors anyway? I believe I remember seeing the ad on the boards at the games. Whoever is doing the advertising for the team needs to get on the ball. I would go door to door on the BIG companies around town to get their support. I only work 3 nights a week so, if someone on the staff reads this, CALL ME!!! I'm cheap n easy...LOL |
