Congratulations to Ryan Gaucher for being named the ECHL player of the week.
PRINCETON, N.J. - Cincinnati defenseman Ryan Gaucher is the InGlasCo East Coast Hockey League Player of the Week for January 27-February 2.

Gaucher scored eight points (3g-5a) and was +1 while extending his scoring streak to eight games.

The 24-year-old Gaucher had an assist and was +2 in Cincinnati's 3-1 win over Lexington on Wednesday and scored a goal in Friday's 3-2 shootout loss at Lexington. Gaucher had his second multiple-goal game and a season-high five points (2g-3a) in a 5-4 win against Augusta on Saturday, and had an assist in Sunday's 3-1 loss at Peoria.

The eight-game scoring streak is the longest of the season for Gaucher, who has 15 points (6g-9a) during the streak.

The 5-11 and 200-pound Gaucher, who is assigned to Cincinnati by Cleveland of the American Hockey League, leads ECHL defensemen with 16 goals, 11 power-play goals, 41 assists and 57 points in 45 games.

Starting for the Northern Conference on defense in the Compuware/ECHL All-Star Game, Gaucher had an assist and was +3 as the Northern Conference won 8-2. It was the second ECHL All-Star appearance for Gaucher, who had a goal in the Southern Conference's 8-6 loss at Greenville in 2000.

On behalf of Ryan Gaucher, a case of pucks will be donated to a Cincinnati area youth hockey organization by InGlasCo.
