Not to get off target, but I thought this was interesting.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Would be nice to play more teams....It kinda gets tiring of seeing the same ones all the time.

How many roadtrips in 2009 if Toledo and Youngstown would join
the ECHL. Great division:Cincinnati-Dayton-Toledo-Youngstown-
Wheeling-Johnstown. Now if we could get Louisville,Lexington
or Indianapolis to join...

That would be totally awesome to have at least one if not all three citys to get a hockey team in our division....especially how close they all are...

It would be nice, but road trips are going to be outta the question in 2009 when gas hits 10 dollars a gallon :(

A member of the Cyclones office, back in the day, said that the demise of the IHL, and the financial troubles of the Cyclones back then, all came down to travel expenses. The league was so spread out that it got to be too expensive for teams to travel. I figure that is a big reason why we keep seeing the same teams over and over again in the ECHL. Most minor league hockey teams can't afford too many trips to Las Vegas, California, Florida, and Alaska.

I see a team in Youngstown as being low travel cost for Elmira (5 hours), Wheeling (2 hrs), Reading (5 hrs), Johnstown (2.5 hrs), Trenton (6.5 hrs, they are far away from almost everybody)Dayton (4 hrs), and Cincy (4.5 hrs). Another team within a bus trip away makes for more interesting home games and easier traveling for road trips.

If there are enough teams within a few hours, I wonder how feasible it would be for a team to include some kind of season ticket package for road games.

I don't EVER want Cincinnati to leave the ECHL.... but what if we banded together with all the Northern Division teams and.... I dunno... form our own league???

KELLY CUP CHAMPIONS- 2008, 2010
AMERICAN/EASTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS- 2008, 2010, 2014

That would be stupid. Let the league expand!

only point is that if the ECHL expands, it better be with cities near us... or else all the teams are going to continue dealing with rising travel costs... and I want some more Kelly Cups!

Would you be proud of Fort Wayne's current "Turner Cup"? I think the Criket cup with
Toledo-Dayton-Cincinnati meant more! The more the merrier if they are 300 miles or
closer.
