Hecklers Grove has said that the Cyclones and Dayton will fold after the season. Thier statment which they claim came from league sources is true. After checking with Cyclones officials this "True" qoute is more internet fodder trying to bash the Cyclones for the zillionth time. |

Teams in the ECHL have various deadlines each season where they are required to inform the league of their intentions (to operate) for the following season.
The notion that either the ECHL, Dayton, or the Cyclones would inform one of the bitter, virulently anti Cyclone bozos who comprise 90% of that dying web site's postings of a plan to discontinue operations is absurd.
Pay their nonsense no heed. |

I can only assume that since most of us have stopped posting on hecklers that this "tactic" or Truth? is an effort to generate a discussion on this website, most of us have chosen not to post on that site however most from their site has been banished from here. True or not these rumors, we have heard them virtually every year since when? 1992? As for Dayton, their fans have a love hate relationship with Hecklers grove as well. With every institution asking for a BAILOUT and the economy the way it is certainly minor league hockey is not immune soooooo if it happens, it happens, I won't toss myself off any bridge. As for Hecklers Grove, I feel that virtually no insult is good enough for some of the folks that post on there. I have never seen or heard of anything that consumes someones lives like the anti Clones. I find it hard to find time in my life to devote to the Clones and cannot believe that they have that much time devoted to hate, thats the best way I can describe it..... hate for the Clones and most if not all of us. As for the hecklers grove posters...word like anguish, unfortunate souls, pitiful, bitter, unloved...... |

Here's a shocker, no OFFICIAL word on the ECHL site. I'm not certain about anyone of you but being that I like my job and in the light of the current Economy I usually keep my trap shut about TOP SECRET RUMORS, I would seriously doubt any high ranking, or low ranking person within the ECHL to risk their jobs in order to tell anyone about teams folding in the ECHL. lastly Coming from Hecklers, a confirmed Cyclone hater's official website.....i'm just laughing for now |

Three posts in a row, i'm pretty peeved, maybe thats what they want? nevertheless, i'm tired folks, what has it been 7 years? long enough for folks to have moved on. I hear the other side of this apparent "war" that folks claim to have ended. Despite some of the Anti-clones claims to have moved on if you will to NHL, Center ice, Miami hockey they still haven't moved that far to keep up this endless nonsense of devoting time to a team in a negative way....doesn't sound like moving on to me |

They were also 100 % sure we would be relocating to Greesnboro in 06-07, that the Cyclones would choke in the playoffs last year because (something near this exact quote), they didn't have the "grit like Elmira", and I've heard about a three dozen examples of them being positive that AHL teams are relocating at the Gardens. I could go on (and on and on and on and on and on and on). |

I think that the appropriate response is:
"Wait, what? Those clo wns over at Heckler's Grove are still around? That's the real news story..."
I didn't realize anyone actually paid them any attention, god knows they don't deserve it. I was debating signing up over there and posting just to boost their member numbers by 25 or 50% but didn't want to encourage them and waste precious bandwidth on the internets. |

Dayton was supposed to fold after their Kelly Cup run a few years ago. We were supposed to fold 10 games into coming back. HG is a cess pool of lies, hate, and immaturity. |

To be honest, you can't take this personally...
There is a very valid reason that they are going to talk about that at HG.com- they don't have their team to follow. The ECHL is not exactly going to well so far this season. Talk about struggling teams. Even with the Cyclones attendance going up, they are still in the lower half of the league and there are teams folding with better INCOME.
Without looking it up (I believe) the Clones have the cheapest ticket prices in the ECHL. It's good to see attendance up. Most minor leagues are NOT doing well... not just the teams in the leagues but the leagues as a whole.
I don't want to see the Cyclones or the Bummers go- but I wouldn't be surprised if the Bummers were to move to Troy- especially with the Miami Valley Silverbacks of the Continental indoor football league taking 2009 off. Hobart arena will be looking for a tenant or 2.
It's hard to imagine as a cyclones fan that they would fold after this season but, I wouldn't be surprised if they were looking for another league if the E doesn't solidify going through the rest of this season. The LEAGUE SOURCE could be right- Dayton and Cincinnati could very well NOT be in the ECHL next season. (just a thought) |

Those disgruntled idiots have nothing better to do. According to them, the Clones have been suspending operations or moving ever since they have come back. They have been "reported" to be moving to Greensboro, NC, Arkansas, and other places. I was kicked off there a long time ago, then had to go back for a lil more just for kicks. I laugh so hard every time I read their BS. THANK YOU JIM FOR CINCINNATI'S ONLY REAL HOCKEY FORUM!!! |

You're right, if watching NHL games in Columbus and other NHL cities and Division I college hockey in Oxford accounts for nothing better to do.
Just because they don't support the Cyclones doesn't make them disgruntled or idiots. The Cyclones are not the only option for area hockey fans.

Hey Donnie, if you are ever at a Cyclones game, look me up. We will have a brew or pepsi or dew and catch up on old times. |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I was told last season by a long time Cyclones season ticket holder and member of the Fan Club that I wasn't welcome at USBA and to go back to the Gardens, where I belong. When a team doesn't have many fans, it's not wise to tell someone that supported the team financially as a ticket buyer, someone that brought people with them to the games, and someone that gave the team an opportunity to get in front of a lot of people through a promotional appearance they're not welcome. That comment is the primary reason I haven't been to and won't be attending any Cyclones games this season. If something unforseen happens and I change my mind, I will look you up. |
