I can do it, but I never said that I would and/or wanted to do it. |

He brought a group of 72 last season on a whim. It was organized at like 5:00 the same day... |

Your arrogance is beyond comprehension. "Been there done that got my t-shirt" my posterior.
A few points about your claims:
1) You no more self-generated 1000+ fans per game in group sales than the man on the moon. You may have taken orders over the phone for an extremely 'hot' early Cyclones product, but you did not generate numbers of that magnitude on your own.
2) So, you also lay claim to self-generating 40% (450/1200) of the Tiger's attendance. How loudly do interviewers laugh in your face when you claim that nonsense?
3) If you actually generated the numbers you claimed in points 1 and 2, there is absolutely NO WAY that Robinson wouldn't have placed you in charge of all ticket sales. Ticket sales are far more valuable than merchandising or radio. They are the lifeblood of a franchise. The other stuff is peripheral and mostly unimportant. Are we seriously to believe that Robinson mothballed a salesman with the alleged demonstrated sales capacity that you claim? If you had generated those type of sales you could have written you own ticket in the sales world. Which you haven't.
4) So, you were soley responsible for 771 Raider deposits? All from pounding the pavement assuredly. False again. Incoming phone calls don't count. In any case, all you took were mostly phone orders for was 771-fully refundable $25 deposits. A total of less than $20,000 in NON-BINDING "commitments".
5) So, you and Harris talked. And he couldn't land your emminence. Yeah, right. Once again, if Harris thought you were a necessity, then he would have done what he needed to do to get you. Plus, it strikes me odd that a 'been there done that got my t-shirt type' would even bother interviewing. It wouldn't serve any purpose.
Perhaps your interviewing skills couldn't overcome the black marks and red flags on your resume.
According to your postings, you have been done with Cincinnati hockey for quite some time. Your actions speak far differently (and bitterly) however.
TO JEVERS: This will be my last posting wasting bandwith responding to the bogus and egomanical claims and general mental illness of Donnie Schlockey. Except for any response to this post
Donnie, may your 13,666th ride on the Racer bring you eternal joy and a new outlook on life.

"If Harris would have wanted you, he would have had you. Given your current position there is no way you would have had an asking price which would have caused him to blink had you been deemed vital to the operation."
My current position at the time, hrc666, was I was still on the payroll at the Gardens collecting my full salary which allowed me to take my time and wait for an opportunity that I wanted rather than take what was available. The Robinson's didn't throw me to the curb after the RR campaign. I wasn't out of a job. Am I surprised you'd make a comment about my situation without knowing what it was? No!
For the record, I wasn't interested in staying with the RR had they succeeded, either. Been-there, done-that, got the t-shirt applied to hockey teams there, too.
I'm also not a "Gardens" person. I watched the Stingers at the Coliseum and my first job in pro hockey was there with the Tigers. I have no issues with the building. It doesn't have the sightlines the Gardens has for hockey but not many arenas do.

I never listed my ticket sales credentials on a resume because I never applied for a ticket sales position, hrc666. I had no interest in being the director of ticket sales for a sports team. The only reason I had any success with it was because of my enthusiasm and passion for hockey. I believed in the product I was selling. I couldn't have sold soccer tickets. |

cyclonehole and hrc666 are the fine supporters that buy the 10.00 seats and waddle on down to the frontrow 22.00 seats thinking they are the evenings entertainment. |

too much hatred has gone into the old Ducks/Clones war. The only way we all can get along is when the Cyclones fold due to nonsupport from the normal Cincinnati community that we put away our forked tongues and pointy fingers and embrace the new team, just aslong as its not named Ducks or Cyclones. |

The funny thing is you aren't even arguing about the real hockey team in the area. Take a trip up to Oxford and see real hockey fans... Go Hawks. Btw I am just kidding... this thread has gotten ridiculous. |

hrc666, hopefully by that time there'd still be a team called Cyclones on the ice at USBA to bring you joy. But I doubt it. No professional hockey franchise has ever lasted more than four consecutive seasons at the arena on the riverfront.
WHA Stingers 1975-1979 CHL Stingers 1979 CHL Tigers 1981-82 IHL Cyclones 1997-2001 ECHL Cyclones 2001-2004 ECHL Cyclones 2006-on the clock
BTW ... the Cyclones are on the cusp of setting a new world record for the most comings and goings by a sports team in the same city under the same name. I'm sure this is a record that would leave you and other Cyclones fans no eternal joy. |

You could get 250 people to the game if you wanted to but you won't? Well, I could create world peace today. But I won't. I'd rather keep going to my job. Also, for the record, I am the greatest basketball player in the world. I don't put it on my resume though because i'd much rather play beer league hockey. |

Kind of like how yours is the ability to cut and past statistics on HG and eat $1 hot dogs and claim that your a hockey expert as a result of it? You know little to nothing about the sport beyond where to park and where the box office is. How can I tell? Because you've never said anything insightful in your posts and when you make your failed attempts to do so, it's obvious that you're just repeating the text from an article or game notes. Anyone who would claim otherwise about you obviously can't see that and knows as little as you do. |
