I was minding my own business at the Cyclones game sitting in Section 210 and immediately following the game, I was enjoying the Cyclones victory and a Cyclones fan (hrc666) made a B-Line from his seat to mine and ATTACKED me. Physically attacked.
After making several death threats, he began to poke me and finally slapped me. His big encore was attempting to shove me when I tried to peacefully leave my seat to exit the game. Over all, he assaulted me 14 times in this incident.
This is no joke.
Fortunately, there were several witnesses including one who happened to capture the incident on video from their digital camera and they were very generous to stay around after the game to show the footage to the arena police and give their statements in the witness reports.
The death threats stem from a tongue-in-cheek comment I made about him not paying taxes on his horse racing business, I guess. Apparently, based on how adamant he was that he was going to kill me, I struck a nerve and it would appear that he has something to hide. Thanks to his actions tonight, we'll find out.
It's minor league hockey. You'd think you could go to a game without an issue like someone being serious when they threaten to kill you.
I found it interesting that he chose not to give his side of the story to the police. They found that odd too... until they found out what he was upset about.
I apologize for posting this on the boards, but I think everyone deserves to know the real story before you heard another version...

then when he confronts you, You want to run and hide and you want
everyone to fill sorry for you. Well I for one don't. I'm not saying he is in the right but neither was you about saying stuff about his personal live joking or not. If you are not on that level to
joke with people like that don't do it. that is my 2 cents on the whole thing. |

you. Be a man a deal with it like a man. Not on a HOCKEY

hope Next time you will think about pushing someones buttons
to the point that they would want to attacke you. |

People can not go around threatening peoples' lives and physically assaulting them. There are no two ways about that.
Unfortunately, the other party involves has serious anger issues in which he needs help before he does something he regrets... especially in front of so many witnesses, like tonight. |

Tongue-in-cheek is only tongue-in-cheek when both sides involved believe it to be so. Apparently you went too far, now you know your limits, adjust accordingly.
Gracefully bowing out never to be heard from again here would be a start. I don't condone violence unless absolutely necessary however Your not thinking your going to get sympathy from alot of us. Now for the assulting part, He slapped you? poked at you? Shoved you? sounds more like a playground scuffle to me. ASSULTED? maybe not so much.
It would appear that the light hearted tongue-in-cheek comments you were making were actually directed toward someone that cared very little for you, maybe even disliked. Next time I would suggest maybe saving the tongue-in-cheek comments for folks that you know don't hate you.......lastly, your last post, hopefully you didn't know he had an "anger" problem before making Tongue-in-cheek comments, seems like that might be part of your problem.
Hopefully this is the last straw for you, hopefully you have finally acknoweleged you are spending too much time stiring up crap and have come to realize that it really isn't that adventagious for you to stick around. The truth of the matter is no one really likes you or the other amigos all that much. |

There's a difference between poking fun on a message board and death threats following by physical contact. He went too far and there will be consequences for his actions.
Oh, and I'm not looking for sympathy. I was just sharing my experience at tonight's Cyclones game. Thought since this was a Cyclones fan board it may be of interest.
Truth be told, not me nor any of the other amigos care that we're not liked very much.

Who do you suppose cares about your experience tonight?
Physical contact, see thats a much better word then assulted. I'm pretty certain that brass knuckles or a bat wasn't involved...so physical contact was a much better choice in words.
one other thing, maybe his comments, you know, the death threats...maybe they were just tongue-in-cheek? LOL

Who said I was defending him? I don't even know him....what I do know is you have been ruffling feathers here for over 126 posts, and many more over there on THAT board....I saw this coming, or somthing similar.
Dude' you brooched into his personal life...ain't none of your business, if you want to bash his hockey knowelege, the way he wears his hockey jerseys, the beer he drinks at a game then fine fire away.
lastly your not the FBI. I'm not certain as to what you thought you might gain by a "horse racing and taxes bomb"....that's his business...you crossed the line....you were most definately not talking "minor league hockey" as you put it....I hope your fine, I pray your not typing right now from an ICU ward or in some post traumatic stress group session right now. I'm waiting on the edge of my seat to watch the video of the alledged assult though......I'm leaning toward you had it coming though. |
