Is everyone ready? Here we go…

The first meeting of the Greater Cincinnati Blueliners Club will be held on Monday, July 11th, 7:00 PM at Cincinnati Gardens. This will be an introduction and organizational meeting, and we hope to get as many people in attendance as possible. By then we will know the name of the new team, so we'll have something to work on.

Membership dues must be paid at the door to participate in this meeting.

AHL Cincinnati franchise representatives Don Helbig and David Ziegler are scheduled to be in attendance to provide some insight to the challenges faced by the organization during this unusual "off" season, as well as answer some questions that many of us have about the next 16 or so months.


Blueliners Family Plan

I have changed the website to reflect two different types of memberships in the Greater Cincinnati Blueliners Club. A single membership will be $15.00. Family memberships will be $25.00. Both year-long memberships will receive the same benefits, but if your family would like to be involved you now have an economical way to join.


The Cincinnati Who?

Did I mention something about the team name? Yes I did! Rumor has it that there will be a press conference on or around June 23rd announcing the new name of AHL Cincinnati, and I am told that the general public will be invited to sit in on the announcement. That's something the Reds and Bengals don't do. An announcement of the press conference including the date, time and location should be made sometime around June 20th or 21st.


Volenteers Needed

Our new organization is in need of a few voluenteers to help us through the first year. We will need someone to help sign up people at the front door as well as take membership dues, and we could certainly use a recording secretary.

There won't be a lot of work involved, but you would need to make it to the meetings which will be once a month or so. If anyone is interested in one of these positions, please contact me directly by emailing jim.questa@hecklersgrove.com .


Pass The Word

Feel free to send this email around to anyone who you think might be interested in learning more about the Blueliners and joining us in our quest to evangelize our favorite sport. Have them drop by the website at http://www.hecklersgrove.com/blueliners.htm . Ask them to sign up for our email list and join our cause. We would love to have them join us for our meeting on July 11th. Only paid members will be permitted, but they can pay at the door.
