CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, announced this afternoon they have received forward Maxime Lacroix from the Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL).
Lacroix, 22, is in his second professional season and first with the Cyclones. In 33 games with Cincinnati, he had 14 goals and eight assists for 22 points during the regular season. Last year, with South Carolina, Maxime was a part of their Kelly Cup championship run.
Lacroix is one of sixteen Cyclones player to earn a promotion to the American Hockey League. Thirty times this season a Cincinnati player has earned an AHL opportunity. Those players have played in more than 220 AHL games.
Lacroix played in 27 games with Hamilton this season, netting a goal and adding a pair of assists for three points.
The fifth-seeded Cyclones open play in the American Conference Semifinal round on Friday night against conference champion Charlotte. Faceoff is scheduled for 7pm and the game will be heard at www.cycloneshockey.com as well as on ESPN 1530. A special pregame show will air on both beginning at 6:30pm.
