That would make some sense as to why they didn't bring Hammer back, but still, I think it makes for a weak case. Wonder if there were some behind-the-scenes issues we didn't know about?
Nick Brunker should do fine for the organization.
Does anyone know if the coach's show at Jefferson Hall will still happen? |

It's not a given that the pro team will get the lease for the new arena for next year...no lease signed with any team and I know USHL interested... |

The WPHL had a team in Little Rock, Arkansas in the 90's which played in a smaller arena pending the completion of a new, larger arena and that team lost out to the ECHL on the lease for the new building.
While there is no guarantee that the Icemen will get the lease, I would think that Ron Geary (the owner) has had substantial conversations with the appropriate powers that be regarding the lease. I would be very surprised if Geary didn't feel very strong about the probability of getting the lease, because he's going to be losing a ton of money this year and to do that without a high probability about getting the lease would not be very intelligent.
So, while it isn't 100% assured, it's probably very highly likely that the IHL (CHL?) Icemen will get the lease for the new arena. The authorities who grant it will probably rue the day they granted it once they get a chance to witness Circus Franke. |

If my memory is correct, the main reason Terry Ficorelli left the Cyclones was because they took him out of the Public Relation's job and wanted him ONLY for the broadcast job. Terry wanted to be a bigger part of the organization and the Cyclones chose to hire the former Cincinnati Red's man. That was the beginning of the fall of the early Cyclones. What we need this year is a return to ALL games on some radio station. Maybe a split of multiple stations could be the answer and would love to get 96.5 back in the mix with their devotion to the Cyclones even when we stopped last year with them. |

Terry was let go by the Cyclones June 24, 1995. |

Looks to me like the "Sniper" was finally outed. Does anyone on this board remember the "Sniper"? |

The intrigue is killing me
What did the "sniper" do and who do you think the "sniper" is? |

The Sniper was on this board and others. He was a disgruntled ex-Cyclone employee. He would bash clones fans and the the organization incessantly. It was borderline criminal. If you think Donnie is bad, you haven't seen anything. It was rumored that the Sniper worked in some capacity at Sports Plus after working with the Clones. When the Clones went dormant, so did the Sniper. When the new Clones surfaced, John Hamel left Sports Plus to work with the Clones. I suspect, and others may back me up, that the Sniper is John Hamel. Why is this important?? Because given time the true nature of ones identity will come out. What you see is not always what you get. |

Hmm. I suspect it wasn't John Hamel. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure I know who that is, if the clues you're giving are correct. The answer would (or wouldn't?) surprise many, but I'm not going to be airing that view here. Sorry. |
