The four teams in the Pacific division as well as Utah all bus between themselves. Not sure about Idaho. Alaska of course flies out and all visitors have to fly in.
As we both pointed out, visitors could rotate between Rapid City and Colorado but I am not sure why the ECHL would want to expand into SD. If they are still looking for more teams out west, I just think there are a lot more desirable locations than a 70,000 town in South Dakota. |

Rapid City may only be 70,000, but what other sports do they have to compete against. In Cincinnati, we have baseball, football (kinda), college basketball and strong high school basketball to go to. The travel is an honest problem but the support would probably not be. Maybe Des Moines,Iowa would be another possible mid west city to look at along with Kansas City. These would make the Quad City franchise a good fit with Chicago. |

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton only has a little over 100,000 people and they support an AHL franchise because the is NOTHING ELSE TO DO in the winter in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
