I was talking to someone during the game who was watching it on the B2 Network and he said that Collins looked impressive. Two goals is certainly nothing to fret over. Sounded to me like he played fine.
This wasn't his first ECHL game though, Bags. He has played for Augusta, Toledo, Dayton and Gwinnett before. Didn't see a whole lot of time but played with each time nonetheless.
I am very pleased with taking 5 of a possible 6 points out of this three-game series against Johnstown. Perhaps it was the home stretch but it looked like our offense really woke up and poured it on. We are still just a point out of first place and a long break should do us well until Toledo and Wheeling revisit USBA this upcoming week.
Speaking of Dov -- just an update, don't know if anyone noticed -- he played 65:00 of scoreless hockey for Portland on Saturday before losing in the shootout. Good for him!
It hurts to lose a player,but it's always great to see someone moving up to the next level.If he can't be here, it would be great to see him playing in the AHL. I will only be bad at his loss if he comes back to the ECHL somewhere else.
