Maybe there was a mistake and it wasn't the ECHL regulations that were violated, but the State of Ohio Constitution that was violated! Here's Article VIII, Section 8:
"The governor, treasurer of state, auditor of state, secretary of state, and attorney general, are hereby created a board of commissioners, to be styled, 'The Commissioners of the Sinking Fund'."
An average of 1600 attendance would certainly lead to "sinking funds", one would think.
I'm guessing that if the league got wind of the taunt from the PA mic on 12/23 that it drew something along the order of a "stern rebuke" from the league with no fine. Wearing the wrong jerseys would definitely fit the nature of the punishment.

There was an incident between a fan and a Royal at the Reading game last week. The fan taunted the Reading player in the walkway after he got a 10 minute misconduct toward the end of the game, and the Reading player through a mysterious red substance in his cup on the fan... Maybe they are being fined because they are not providing a "safe" environment for the opposite team. Seems trivial, but you never know.
Here we go with an awning over the walkway! |

I guess you have never been to Toledo. The players walk down threw the crowd and the glass is only chest high.Talking about unsafe |

The word I'm hearing is for playing "Three Blind Mice" during
the game in protest of bad referee calls. Even though they deserve
it,I can see the league feeling we pushed it too far. |

Three Blind Mice ... wow. I've never heard anything more rediculous. It is all in good nature. I guess we must ban the officials' clown entrance music now as well.
Unless they think we're abusing it, why a fine now? We have done it before. Toledo does it all the time.
I think I liked Section 60's vocals better anyway. |

| Does anyone else think that the lousy officiating tonight was mandated by the league? The ref had to be told ahead of time about the situation and to referee accordingly. How did we come out of the scrum in the 2nd period shorthanded? Toledo was already getting penalty before the altercation. It's amazing we won tonight given the fact we were playing against Toledo and the ref. |

| 30 minor penalties were called tonite (1/12/07)....30. i think that guy must have been behind on his penalty quota and chose tonite to get caught up. |
