this areticle was posted in Fresno's paper yesterday...
"Who knew "Three Blind Mice" was a hockey penalty?
Dan Poolman certainly didn't, which explains his brief stint in the Fresno Falcons penalty box last Sunday.
His predicament became a source of amusement for Falcons employees last week, a diversion while their hockey team was struggling on the ice.
Poolman, an account executive who doubles as the music programmer for home games, was ejected from Sunday's game for playing "Three Blind Mice" after officials called a penalty on a Falcons player with 3:42 remaining.
Since his only exit was across the ice, Poolman, who normally sits between the penalty boxes, was told to stay in the box until the game was over.
At first glance, the punishment seemed to be a case of a too-thin-skinned official sanctioning a sassy music man.
But upon further review, it seems the ECHL has declared "Three Blind Mice" an illegal piece of music.
In a section of the ECHL regulations that prohibits team employees from engaging in "activities, verbal or otherwise, of a harassing, hostile or demeaning nature toward the visiting team or the game officials" is this clause:
At no time shall the song entitled "Three Blind Mice" ever be played at a game by the organist or over the public address system.
ECHL officials must take comfort in the knowledge that their league will not allow anyone to characterize them as blind, or as mice.
So, Poolman had better update his music library for next season. How about Bruce Springsteen's "Blinded by the Light"? Maybe something from Third Eye Blind or Blind Melon.
Better yet, sneak in a snippet from "Blind" by Bakersfield rock band Korn. Surely Condors coach Marty Raymond, fined for criticizing the refs after Game 2 of the playoffs, would find a great irony there."

| how about "blind" by the talking heads |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
