Okay those were two ugly games this week. I know Florida brought in a couple of "ringers" to beef up their roster, but we earned those losses. Wednesday's game saw Foster give up 4 goals, but that easily could have been 7 or 8 in the period and a half he played. Friday saw a much better defense, but like Wednesday, an offense without a leader. Having Luciani back will be a big help and he did all he could last night, but our captain Mathieu Aubin needs to earn that "C" on his jersey. This team needed a scorer these last two nights and all he was looking to do was pass to someone else. Florida's goalie gave up 4 goals in two nights and the first month Cyclones would have scored 20 with his erratic play! Yes I know we are in first place, but this three game slide and erratic play does not look good for the future. |

| Last nights game looked like they were just going through the motions. The PP looked like a game of hot potato no one wanted to hold the puck long enough to take a shot. Also many times were I thought the player with the puck had a shot they would pass it at the last second. |

| I disagree. You want the puck to be a hot potato on the power play. They get in trouble when they hold it too long and lose the lane or others get covered. You want to move the puck as quickly as possible and have people who can take one timers rather than have to take the pass, settle it down, and then take the shot. |

The power play needs to get resolved ASAP. It's the exact same struggle as last year. The umbrella system they use doesn't open up enough shooting lanes and doesn't get the opposition moving laterally.
One big thing I noticed was that Cincinnati could not keep up with Florida's speed. They were beaten to most pucks, couldn't backcheck against them and were running around in their own zone. Florida made Cincinnati look bad. They appeared to be the superior team. |

To me they're too worried about moving it, and not shooting it. |
