| it doesn't get more frustrating than that folks. STH throughout the 90's and early 2000s but over the last couple of years with the girls so young we have only been able to catch a dozen or so games throughout the season. This year has been no different but of the dozen or so games I have been to this year I have only watched them win ONCE!!! a shootout win no less. Every loss we have witnessed seemd to be this quazi-half effort game that I think I saw tonight. We missed the 1st home win against Toledo on Wednesday night only to see the Clones lose in double over time and we missed the 5-0 butt kicking 2 nights ago only to be in attendance tonight. Look I'm sorry i'm sounding like a little school girl whinning but man, I got to tell you I had nothing but disgust tonight. Maybe someone else seen it different but we were down right out hustled tonight. I'm totally receptive to anyone seeing tonights game differently but I cannot believe I missed another solid performance Wednesday night only to have gone to a real stinker tonight. lastly was Shalla that pivotal in Wednesdays win to have missed him so badlt tonight, but alas I have to take the bad with the good. I still have hanging from our walls the pictures of my family as confetti is falling from the rafters in 2008 and 2010. Sorry about the rant, feel free to put me in my place. I'm pretty frustrated already. |

I don't think they are as bad as a team as you are making them sound. They've made it this far for some reason, eh?
I definitely share some frustration though. Playing from behind is killing us!
I haven't been impressed with the lineup as of late. I won't go asking where they are or why they are not playing, but I will say that I miss Birkholz and Ellington.
I thought the team came out a little stronger at the start than they have been, but obviously the air was let out after falling behind by a few goals.
The Gladiators brought it, period. Their PP is killing us. I think they just had the extra step tonight.

| Scuba, we left at the end of the second period. I went home and shoved a hot poker in my eye for entertainment. It was less painful... |
...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones! |

Clearly Scuba needs to stay home and we'll win the Cup. Problems SOLVED!
PS - Gwinnett is a very good team that got slaughtered in game 3. It was a near guarantee that they'd come out strong in game 4. Actually this whole series has been like that.

I also missed the whoopin that was delivered on Wednesday. However what I saw last night was atrocious, I was almost embarrassed to be wearing a clones jersey. The lack of effort throughout was unacceptable, I do believe this is the worst I have ever seen them play.
I have been down on them before and they proved me wrong and won a cup, hopefully they will turn it around tonight and be the team they normally can be. I also agree with jung if Birkholz is a healthy scratch, that is a shame, he has been awesome for us this year.
GOOOOO CYCLONES!!! |

@jung, I'm NOT implying the team is bad, obviously like you said, they have come this far. I am frustrated that the games I attend seems effort-less on the part of the Clones players. After the 5-0 win on Wenesday I knew....and I knew that last night was going to go down the way it did. This team obviously has 2 distinct personallites. I think that has been a Cyclone trait since the 90s. One night you see them as the next champion and then the very next day you wonder how they made the playoffs. Back to my last question. Was Shalla that big of a boost for us to have missed him last night?
@catch22, don't think for a second I hadn't considered not going to the games. We have tried with kids, without our kids, different jerseys, me wearing a different hat. Then we decided to NOT go and listen on radio.....still lost. |
