CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they have agreed to terms with forwards Dan Eves and Michael Pelech for the 2013-14 season.

Eves, a 27-year-old Lake Orion, Michigan native will embark on his sixth professional season this fall. A year ago, he notched 41 points (14 goals, 27 assists) in 62 regular season games to go along a career-high 12 points (3 goals, 9 assists) in 17 Kelly Cup playoff contests. Now in his fourth season with Cincinnati, Eves earned his 100th point as a Cyclone on March 20, 2013 against Gwinnett. He has accumulated a total of 100 regular season points (36 goals, 64 assists) in 133 games since joining the club midway through the 2010-11 campaign.å

“Dan is a very versatile player and a great leader,” said Cyclones Head Coach Ben Simon. “He is a guy who we can use in many different situations, and as a coach, that’s a great asset to have.”

Pelech, a 2009 fifth round pick by the Los Angeles Kings, finished 2012-13 with 46 points (13 goals, 33 assists) in 50 games for Cincinnati. He also spent some time in the American Hockey League, logging a combined 18 games and two points (1 goal, 1 assist) with the Connecticut Whale, Peoria Rivermen, and Worcester Sharks. During Cincinnati’s postseason run, the 23-year-old finished fifth among all Cyclones players with 11 points (4 goals, 7 assists) in 17 games.

“Mike is a proven player at this level,” said Simon. “He is a big part of our core group and we’re looking forward to having him continue contributing for us offensively.”

...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones!
