I've only been to two games this season, having been out of town, but I'm curious if anyone can shed any light on the team thus far? They are 7-2 but for the life of me, having watched these last two games I have no idea how that is possible.
We don't finish our checks (at least not when it counts), we turn the puck over waaaayyyy too much, we struggle to clear our zone, and we give up way too many odd man rushes. Our PP is pathetic, I only saw one power play tonight that looked like any kind of organized power play, and none on Saturday.
We were outskated to nearly every puck tonight.
Is this how we look every game, or have they had a couple of off nights? |

I thought Orlando did a good job on the forecheck and that's why the Cyclones had some issues getting the puck out of their end. But that was just how it looked from where I was sitting. :)
I also thought Orlando's goalie, John Curry, should have been one of the three stars. He played well.
The Solar Bears did a good job getting some traffic in front which made it difficult for the Cyclones goalie to see the puck all the way through on a couple of their goals.
I have no dog in the fight so I was just watching two teams play hockey and thought it was an entertaining game. |

Oh for sure the Solar Bears did a great job forechecking tonight, but I also noticed the Cyclones almost had a lackadaisical approach to moving the puck out of their zone, which helped the Orlando forecheck immensely.
