Does this mean he got called up straight to the NHL? I don't see anything on the AHL site about San Antonio adding him.

Never mind, I should have known to check Twitter first. Per Nick Brunker, Florida traded him to Chicago today. He'll be reporting to Toledo.

He was part of a trade with Chicago. Florida sent Kris Versteeg and Lefebvre to Chicago in return for Jimmy Hayes and Dylan Olsen. Lefebvre had to be recalled to Florida in order to be traded. It's expected he'll be assigned to Toledo, Chicago's ECHL affiliate. Both players acquired by Florida are considered NHL/AHL level.
