It's being reported on twitter that San Antonio is sending Houser down and calling Madore up. The move makes sense. Markstrom is getting the bulk of the minutes in San Antonio so sending Houser down is the best way to get him minutes.

On the Nashville/Milwaukee side, the time table for Rinne's return is vague at best. Darling still needs to play 4 more games with Cincinnati to be playoff eligible. At this point, that could be a long shot.

Howe seems to be doing a good job with a save percentage around .920.

I agree, If Rinne's rehab goes longer its a good opportunity for both Darling and Howe. Darling stays in the A where he has done......admirably (intended!) and Howe gets a better shot at call ups himself and the fact he has not lost in regulation (knock on wood) is good for us...but you never know when the call will come.

Howe has been a great find. Given the way he's played, he certainly has earned a place on the roster. Unfortunately, it's all too likely he'll end up the victim of the dual affiliates when the playoff rosters get released. Unless there's a serious turnaround in San Antonio, their unlikely to make the post season and they've got 2 goalies that could be potentially assigned to Cincinnati down the stretch. When you add in the possibility of Darling's potential return it's hard to see how Howe makes to post season roster. The same thing happened to Cody Rudkowski in 07-08.

Nashville traded a forward (Hendricks) to Edmonton for goalie (Dubnyk). It's a trade that makes me thing Rinne's timetable is going to be a long one. Time will tell how this will effect the 'Clones. If all the other NSH/MKE goalies are healthy then a goalie should filter down to the Cyclones.

I should have checked the situation in MKE before posting:

http://admiralsroundtable.com/2014/01/15/roster-moves-everyday-im-shuffling/

I looks like Darling got hurt in paractice. MKE has signed Toivonen (from Toledo) to a PTO as a response. NSH still has 3 goalies (not including Rinne) on the roster with the acquisition of Dubnyk so they'll likely assign someone to MKE but with Darling injured there won't be anyone heading our way at the immediate future.

Bottom line is Howe is safe for the time being.

Truth be known I like the way Howe plays better than Madore but I understand now that SA has signed Madore, Howe is the odd man out. When that time comes however hope he catches an AHL contract. H e has earned it with us

Another goalie swap. Hauser back to SA and the Clones sign Tony Tabisz for the 43rd time this year. Must be an injury in SA or FL as the call up certainly wasn't based on his performance last night!!. He look very out of place and not sure of himself.
