| my family and i have been to a lot of clones games this year. my son likes to bring his camera to the game and take pictures. just tonight we were hasseled by the so called security at the main entrance because my sons camera has a detachable lens. we told the "person" that he has brought it to every game....even getting a press pass to some of the games. i was told that on the back of our ticket it says no cameras with detachable lenses allowed but the print is so small that we cant even make out what it says. my question is this... is this something new? they really pissed me off!no one would show me where on the ticket it says that. we have been loyal cyclones fans for a long time. if anybody knows anything about this please let me know. |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. | I bring my digital camera quite a bit and have never been hassled. No idea how they treat bigger cameras though. |

| I think tonight with the bikini contest might of had something to do with it. I dont know, I swear I saw a sign outside coming in saying NO CAMARAS FOR TONIGHTS GAME. :/ |

i think the signd outside were left over from the concert the night before. i have never had any trouble with my small camera.
i just read the back of the ticket with a magnifying glass and it does indeed say "no cameras" |

I may be wrong but I think they don't allow the huge telephoto lenses or
video cameras. |

it is my understanding that the camera rule applies mostly for the concerts and other events but here is where it becomes unclear. the "security force" for some reason cannot realize the difference between the conccert venue and the hockey venue so they take the rule to be for all events at us bank arena. if you were to call and talk to the front office, not the sales force but either kp or joe, i would say you would get the approval to bring it in. but thats a lot of work before attending a game just to take a few pics for your personal use not to sell.
oh by the way what is the definition of a professional camera? |

| professional would be something other than a point and shoot. SLR's are considered professional. I can't take my camera into any other hockey venue, other than ours, without a press pass. Most of the time, you're fine. But you have to know, they can stop you if they feel like it. |

I don't think the Cyclones need to worry becauce the local press don't even
know we exist.All cameras then it house will be by fans. |
