I've seen 700 or so Cyclone games and many more hockey games on tv, but I've never seen anything like the first period I saw tonight. The only thing I can think that comes close is the brawl with Cleveland back in the day. Zultek and Angel lose their minds, the fans think they're in Cleveland, the ref calls so many penalties he forgets how many guys are supposed to be on the ice, and the Clones rally from a 2-0 hole and score 4 goals in 6 minutes, WOW!! This game showed what a helluva coach Weber is and what not so good a coach is in Vittuci. We could have very easily lost our composure and focus being down 5 on 3 for 4 minutes and already down 2-0 in a hostile environment, but Chuck called a timeout and kept everybody calm and made sure everybody knew there was plenty of time left. The Storm(namely Zultek) just did boneheaded things that ended up costing them the game. Thank God I have a few days to recover cuz my voice needs it. Lets get those brooms out for Thursday!!!!
On a side note, can anyone tell me why the Cyclones have a Dayton Bombers trailer hitched to the team bus? |

Last ten minutes almost everything was called on Toledo. The difference was, that our team kept their cool while we endured our 10 minutes of shame, and Toledo simply lost there's.
The team showed an incredible amount of heart coming back from that quick 2-0 deficit. What a memorable game for the last one in Toledo Sports Arena! Wow-and talk about some nasty fans---

Thats putting it lightly. I went to Cleveland a few times when the Cyclones played the Lumberjacks and those fans are saints compared to Toledo fans. |

Its the ref's fault the game got out of hand. The players didnt know what they could and couldnt do because of worrying whether its a penalty or not. Its playoff hockey, LET THE PLAYERS PLAY THE GAME!!!! If you let the players police themselves on the ice it will be a much better game. Sure if a guy gets slashed or tripped during a scoring chance thats one thing, but calling every little hold and calling hooking and interference when guys are falling over sticks is ignorant. |

| i agree with you hakeedude...especially the drunk a-hole that got escorted out late in the game. we were the ones next to you and your son in the first row. i counted three bottles thrown on the ice during the game. thats just stupid. those bottles even though plastic could have hurt someone. other than that we didnt have any problem with any storm fans until after the game while standing outside the clones locker room. talk about sore losers! |

| just a side note.. no three stars were mentioned from saturdays game so who would you have as the three stars? my picks 1) mike wirll 2) cedric desjardins and 3)scott reynolds |

| I know that there is always going to be a few poor sports in any fan base, but I have to say that the majority of fans that we sat around were friendly and gave us the opportunity to root for our team. After hearing many horror stories about the Toledo fans, I was apprehensive about going up there, but all in all I was very pleased with how my family and I were treated. Several fans came up and talked to us about the team and how we were being treated. The Toledo Storm staff and arena personnel were also very friendly. As a whole, we had a great time. |
