a win on thursday could eliminate the storm from more than just the playoff. the echl has approved the sale of the team and their request for a suspension of operations. previous reports on this issue said that the new owners where planning on changing the teams name.

| For those of us that love the Storm, it is a very sad day in Toledo. I know most fans, including myself, will follow whatever hockey team that they bring back. I guess living here in the Cincinnati Area, I will have to start rooting for the Cyclones for the next 2 years. |

I can imagine. I know there were some fans on the 11PM new Sat night talking about how come they just couldn't fix up TS Arena. With just a couple thousand fans in there, it was very loud. Have there been any plans announced for capacity of a new arena? Will it be on the same site as the old? And too bad, they couldn't keep hockey going up there while they build the new one. |

The new arena will be located in downtown Toledo, it will be alot larger then the Sports Arena. I think I heard at one point and time it would hold about 7500, but I am not sure. The current location of the Sports Arena is going to be turned into a Marina District. I have to say, up until 3 years ago, I had never been to an ECHL game outside of the Sports Arena, and I had always thought that was the size of the normal arena for this league. |
