I know it's pretty meaningless, but does anyone else think it's kind of crappy how the Cyclones are displaying "all-time records" on the new website and the programs at the games but are only counting statistics from the Riverfrogs until now? I understand that that is the latest franchise but you can't ignore all of the seasons before that.
My first thought when I saw that "Chris Rowland" had the most Cyclones penalty minutes with 629, I thought ... where the hell is Eric Dandenault? I look on Hockeydb and he had 896 penalty minutes while playing with Cincinnati.
And then I see that Lance Leslie has the most wins with 29 ... so I go look up my favorite Cyclone player of all-time, Geoff Sarjeant, who had 32 wins in just one season for the Clones.
Again, I know this isn't a big deal but I think it's kind of crappy for both those players and the fans, who like me watched most of them play, not to get acknowledged when they achieved much better stats in a Cyclones uniform. If they don't "count" the IHL players and stats then why do they bother to retire their numbers? |

I agree. As in most pro sports, its hard to root for a player. You typically root for the crest. So "Cyclones" should be all the teams here: ECHL,IHL,ECHL2
Its like trying to keep the Houston Oilers record in Tenn. Sorry, you changed the name, Oilers are over. |

| I also agree. Or just have a "Cincinnati Cyclones record book" from 1990-today. So atleast we know or heard of the guy and he really did play home games in Cincinnati. |
