What do you think it will take for our team to start winning again? Playoffs are 3 weeks away,and things aren't looking so good. We don't even know if we will have a team next season. Come on everybody, start chatting!!!
This team reminds me now of the early 1st year IHL team. When the team traded Jeff Madill for two defensemen who could clear a goaltenders rebound and bring the puck up ( one was Ian Kidd), the team came alive. The defense is killing us with allowing second and third shots. We can't bring the puck up without dumping it in and we are now taking the dumb penalties we kept away from earlier. Look at the stat sheet and you find Greg Labenski in second place in minor penalties! Our goaltenders are trying to do to much (how about a two man advantage and giving up a goal). Also, watch our slow line changes.How many too many men penalties have we gotten.
Played bad is an understatement. Send that goalie back to the Ducks or at least take him for an eye examination. Why does this team always dump the puck when they pull the goaltender? I was always told you never want to give up control of the puck if your net is open.
What a difference a day can make. That must have been one good butt chewing they got after yesterday's game because they looked great tonight. Naumenko needs to stay in goal until Hewitt comes back. We even won the fights tonight. Too bad more people didn't see it.
