I got an idea for a poll topic but I need some help first.
On the current team, who might have the best chance of earning
a future number retirement? Before you answer, someone like
Cedrick will probably move up to the AHL by next year, so his
stint with us will be shortlived. My hope is NONE will be at this
level for long, but who might be with us for a long enough period
to be proud of. I am going to throw in Billy Irish-Baker only
because the AHL may think he's too small, but I love his "grit"
and their loss would be our gain.Any ideas?

I doubt any ECHL player makes it to the rafters simply because that type of long term contribution to the team and city just isnt there. Also, Ceddy is no longer on Montreal's depth chart as a prospect so I'm guessing he's here until someone else picks up his contract

I'm surprised to hear that. Montreal was so excited to have him down here and now they don't even have him signed? thats kinda weird to me.

He doesn't need to play there. His name is already on the rink wall in Hamilton and Montreal. In green writing behind the goals you can see Desjardins.

I would personally love to see Geoff Sarjeant retired at USBA. Like Biggsy, he still lives in the area (at least I think). He was my all-time favorite Cyclone. It would have been nice if he finished out his playing time with us though instead of getting traded to Detroit. However I'm sure that would make for some complications for the future goaltenders as the # 31 would not be an option to wear.

I didn't even think of Geoff, he was by far my favorite goalie!

and yes, Biggsy still lives in Cincy, I saw him last week when I went to the pro shop at sports plus.

I know Biggs does, I was referring to Sarj when I said I think he still lives in the area.

my vote is for choco tacos

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I agree 100% with Geoff Sarjeant and many other "old timers". What I meant was of the
players with us now,who would you like playing for us in 2010 if they haven't moved
up or if we have moved up (AHL) be playing for us.Don Biggs is a prime example of a
player who may have been a 3rd liner in the NHL,but was a 1st liner at the AHL/IHL
level and great for us.

hey XcloneiacX,that's why I want ideas for a Section 60 poll. It's all in fun and I
have a list of about five players, coaches and owners I would love to see hanging in
the rafters.Sorry Wildman,Pete Rose with Lawless,Biggs and Dionne (and the fans) still
makes me mad.

He belongs to Hamilton, not Montreal, that's why. He's been on a 2-way with HAM since he turned pro.

In each of the past two seasons, when Desjardins has been given a chance to play in the AHL he hasn't played well. In his last game with Hamilton, the Bulldogs head coach was very critical of his performance in the Hamilton Spectator.
