Donnie, I'm sure you heard about it before the person who terminated John even thought about it. Ya know, since you are god.

unnecessary. this is about hammer not a pi$$ing contest

You obviously don't know about Donnie then.

I know plenty but thanks. the bottom line is: does it matter if he knew before anyone else? i had heard things back during the playoffs but i didnt consider the source reliable. would you like to call me a liar as well?
the bottom line is that no matter how you feel about DH,this is a thread regarding John and what he brought to the team/organization. if the only thing you can bring to the discussion are shots @ DH and whether he knew before anyone else says a lot about the type of fan YOU are...

You really are a dumb blonde, aren't you? Donnie says he knows everything before it happens. Maybe you should read the boards more before you comment on situations

Terry Ficorelli coined phrases such as "a scintillating skate save!" and "a crush at the crease!" A master of aliteration. He must have practiced those phrases over and over again, because he never missed a beat. Terry made radio broadcasts worth listening to for their own sake.

Do you remember the days when all the games were on the radio and the Cyclones had radio updates during the day?

Didn't Terry have his own dictionary? Called the Fictionary? Rooftop Rockets, anyone else have any of Fic's fantastic phrases?

lol Remember a lot of those DH lol

He had a way with his phrasology that always had you waiting for what he would come up with next!

Not to say that the Hammer did not have his own phrasology!! He will be missed. Whoever fills those 'shoes' will have a bit of work ahead of him.

Thank goodness it wont be Terry. I liked him, but frankly he got old and seemed to be very full of himself the few times I met him. Always wondered if he was THAT good, why did he never advance to a higher level? Just my 2 cents.

Will it be you, Don?

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

No.

Can the Cyclones find a better broadcaster than John? Yes. Can they find someone that will do a better job with the media and public relations? Yes. But what they won't find is someone that cared as much about the team and fans as John did. He was content to stay in Cincinnati and didn't look at the opportunity he was given as just a stepping stone to something else.

You are completely wrong. John could name off any stat instantly and knew the team inside and out. John made the games extremely exciting on the air along with his funny comments. I highly doubt anyone will be able to match John announcing.

Nick Brunker is the new broadcaster/media relations director for the Cyclones. He was a seasonal intern with the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks. Good guy. Great opportunity for him.

Have you ever heard of a link?

http://www.cycloneshockey.com/team-news/cyclones-name-nick-brunker-director-public-relationsbroadcasting

Brunker filled in for Wildman as the PA Announcer a time or two this past season.

He was the Toledo Storm radio announcer in 06-07 according to the press release.

"The only way David Desharnais will see an NHL game is if he buys a ticket".
