What about Dayton? Just watched an interview with the UHL Commish Richard Brosal and he is smacking at the lips to get into Dayton and Toledo when they possibly fail. I know Dayton has been struggling when compared to years past, and I haven't seen any long term committment from their ownership to continue to field a team. Toledo has had some grumblings about a new building/franchise for the past year or so, so I guess you could throw them into the mix also.

At first you said "rumors". They you quote some nobody on a public message board that made an entire 5 posts. I thought you said something about Dayton moving to the Carolinas? This "rumor" by your VERY credible (ROTFLMAO!) was saying something about the UHL wanting to come to Dayton. Coincidentally, that post was made just minutes before you made your post here. Interesting!
I kind of like the next post in that thread. Who did they say was moving to Greensboro. As jericho said, if it's posted on the internet, it must be true. |

Wow ... talk about striking a nerve.
I think the point was that you clearly said to him that he couldn't find a single message on any message board, and he did, and posted it. I don't think the matter of that member having a low post count or the content have much relevance. I don't recall him ever saying the rumor had any truth to it, but was just another tedious remark in the Greensboro deal where all of the teams are being thrown around. And not to speak for someone else, but I'm pretty sure his user name on ITB is CincinnatiHockeyFan1.
He said it is a rumor, so it seems a bit comical to me how you are throwing around the cliche "it's on the Internet so it must be true" phrase. The point was that he was posting a message when you said he couldn't post one ... he found one and now you are assuming he thinks it's true. Yes our franchise is in possible threat, but for all of those posts that you "like" about us being the ones sold ... it's on the Internet, so it must be true, right? |

Hey fellow Cyclone fans.Looking at Dayton's schedule I came upon
something very funny regarding their attendance.November 22 was
their ONLY Monday-Thursday home game and this was THE DAY BEFORE
THANKSGIVING!!!! How many Monday-Thursday games have we had!Don't
get me wrong,we have no excuse for sub 1000 crowds,but wouldn't
it have been nice to have all our games the day before a non-work day. |

... wow Inspector Clouseau... take you long to find that "obscure piece of information?" The answer is 6.
Six.
If you include the game before Thanksgiving.
Which leaves you with 8 home games on weekends. We have had 7 (not including the game before thanksgiving)

I find that VERY funny as well. I'm sitting here this morning laughing my arse off over this. lol, lol, lol, lol.

You know what I find even funnier is the fact our two friends from Dayton so
closely monitor OUR WEBSITE that a 2:30 AM post is needed for a response to a
Dayton schedule post! I was curious last night when looking at the previous games
on the ECHL site and wasn't finding any Dayton games during the week.That's when
I found this fact looking at their schedule.To the league's defense,the older teams
should get some consideration and I don't know how many weekend dates were blocked
out by our arena, but the weekend days will always be the prime nights for crowds.
The reborn Texas franchise probably has the same problem as us-Honest head counts! |
