BS. He had plenty of choice. He just chose to make an extremely minor incident an excuse to get rid of them.
Last two games a grand total of 4 goals. 2 of them softies by d-men Aronson and MacDonald. The other 2 by Megan and MacFarland.
This could get ugly when MacF and Megan get recalled.
Also, great "choice" of getting rid of Embach. Hugely popular in the locker room and the leading scorer in the playoffs last year. Embach let Skalde put him on the 21 day IR last year instead of taking a trade. He was willing to place the team above his own spot in the line up. Probably would have done it again. So much for the alleged high character standards of the new coach.
Again, it's the coach's right to trade who he wants for whatever reason. But to claim that Simon had "no choice" in the matter is disingenuous.
How do you KNOW that he was popular in the locker room? Last I checked, you weren't on the roster. You are deranged. You continue to be a laughing stock. Do us a favor, just leave. |

What was the Cyclones fans were saying about Bengals players compared to the Cyclones? :)
And the Cyclones ship said players out. The Bengals on the other hand? |

Good for management. They look great next to how the Reds and Bengals have answered similar problems. Don';t forget, Aubin was the Captain and to keep him after this incident would have been a mistake. If they kept him as Captain it would take away from any leadership he needed in the locker room and made the C a joke. Keeping him but stripping him of the C would have set up all sorts of issues with new leaders. The PR with the community would have been a disaster. These two guys were responsible for the decision. To blame the coach or front office is ridiculous.

Unlike the Reds and Bengals, the Cyclones don't have a major financial investment in their players. In baseball, teams would have to pick up a good portion of the contract to move a player with questionable character. In the NFL if you can't trade a player and release them, you might take a seven-figure cap hit. There's a big difference between what a low-level minor league team can do and teams in the MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL. |

Hey Psych case,
Still haven't dealt with your anger issues. Pray tell what must go on between your ears. Probably not very pleasant.
I have a source who is close to many of the players. That's how I know.
That "stifling" defense you imagine in your mind has yet to materialize. Keep fantasizing about your vast knowlege of hockey. LOL.
I guess this board allows trolls. I've seen nothing which suggests that you aren't one. |

HAHA ok buddy. You have a "source." FYI, your mom doesn't count. Stay in her basement where you belong. |

I do have a valid source. Do you have anything to suggest that Embach wasn't a popular player?
Back under your bridge, troll. Reduced to mother jokes.
Madore is now ranked 26th out of 33 goalies in the league for goals against who have played 180 minutes or more. That "stifling defense" which leads to all the goals scored must have some pretty major holes.
2 goals in the last 2 games for forwards. Embach was involved with 3 all by himself last night in Gwinnett.

Telling yourself that a source is reliable doesn't make it true. If there's anything trolling on here, it's you. At the time of that comment, the Cyclones were rated 7th in the ECHL in team defense. Step off. Back to the basement with you. |

It doesn't matter. It is a privilege to get paid to play a sport. If you are arrested for any reason, you should be immediately removed from the team and sport. Seems Simon follows the same thoughts I do. |

Easier said than done Randy at the MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA level due to the contracts the players are signed to. It would cost a team millions of dollars and in three of the four major sports a salary cap hit to release a player due to them getting arrested or for certain conduct.
In the ECHL, teams are always in need of players so you can move them without having any financial ramification.
When you have 20-plus guys on a team there's always going to be a couple bad apples.

What exactly did Aubin and Pelech steal to be arrested for theft? It seems odd that more information wouldn't be available when local athletes get arrested, even at the minor league level. |
