if anybody is interested the florence freedom have an exhibition game on saturday at 7:oo against the chilicothe paints. i will have to come back from the indy 500 qualifying to catch them. hope to see you people there. we sit on the 3rd base side in the green seats.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Hey somebeach,my wife and I go to many of the Freedom games.I was
happy last year when the Cyclones were talking to them about how
they run their club. Their promotions department always seems to
make you feel you got your money's worth at the game. Maybe this
offseason with everything in place we can do a better job in that
department next season. By the way, is my two minutes up !

Somebeach,
How long has Florence had a minor league team? I hadn't a clue any team played there.

Hakeedude,
I saw you and your son on the scoreboard tonight. I'm glad you both came up to watch another game. I hope you had a safe trip home. I know there were some high winds and bad storms around the time of my post.

Hey Somebeach I just looked at the e-mail I received from the Freedom and it says that the game time for Saturday is 6:05. Can't beat the price either only $5.

The Freedom are a great alternative to the Reds, especially if you have kids. Good cheap entertainment, relaxed atmosphere, and nice grassy areas down both foul lines where you can play catch or wait for the potential foul ball. They've been around several years now, although I think they almost folded after the 1st year due to the unscrupulous business practices of the 1st owner.

RL, my son was wearing his white CAHA Cyclones jersey. Did you notice how quickly the camera cut off after he began dancing around and pointing to it?---all of a sudden just a blank Bombers' logo on the screen. It was a good game, once they came out of their stupor midway into the second period. Hope they can take one of those two games in Fla. It would be nice to see a finals matchup.

I guess since I took the time and effort to come up there, I get to mention the grossly iniflated attendance figure???? hee hee They must be counting season ticket holders in the mix.

Again, why in the world would they want to inflate the attendance in the playoffs? Each team is responsible for paying a percentage of ticket sales to the league during the playoffs. I think it's around $5 per ticket now. If anything, most would want to reduce the number to save some of the cash. The reported attendance was right on last night. The computers that print up the tickets belong to the Nutter Center / TicketMaster.....not the Bombers. You can't fudge the reports printed from that server.

Sorry, but there was absolutely no way there could have been 1729 people in the seats last night. No way in God's green earth, or anyone else's for that matter. Maybe, there should have been that many,or more for a playoff game, but there weren't.

They missed a good game, too.

Wow, one more game and we can see some Kelly Cup finals in Dayton. I got to go see that!

I cant make the Florence Freedom game this weekend, because I am out of town, but my wife and some of her friends are going instead. We sit right behind the visitor dug-out in 111. I will be there for the wednesday opener though!

I'm thinking that a lot of people weren't in their seats during the first period. It just seemed that there were more people there in the 3rd. I actually thought there were about 2,000 total in attendance. I guess it wasn't a bad guess.

Yeah, I noticed how fast the camera was taken off him once the shirt was in plain view.

Judging by last nights game, it is my honest opinion that The Bombers are in a "Refuse to Lose" state of mind. I really hope we get to the cup finals.

the freedom have been around for 4 years (this is their 5th year). they play in the frontier league(it's an independant league). they played their first season in hamilton, ohio while their stadium was being built. if you want more info visit www.florencefreedom.com

Jericho, first of all, this is not Toledo, not Wheeling and not Johnstown. I can't get over this feeling that just because it's hockey That "I" or "we" would just say "what the Hell, I'll go" remember its a rivalry, can't stand Dayton. its been said before, ask a Cubs fan if the love the Whitesox? how about the Islanders about the Rangers? If you win it all, Good....If you lose it all...Great!!!!!

I have already seen it, in 2002 when they lost to the Greenville Grrrowl. Only time I have seen a team lift a cup!

Thanks to the Cinti folks who made the trip up during the games, hopefully we'll have some more hockey to play. It was great to see Ft Wayne fans, Toledo fans and Cinti fans in the arena heck I even saw a Cinti Ducks jersey being worn. I dont care who you were cheering for more people in the arena is always good.

Economically it would be nice if either Dayton or Cinti had a larger fan base, there is no reason both franchises cant avg 5,000 people a game in markets this size. The Clones have already come and gone, so have the Ducks so I think it would be nice if the Clones stuck around a while so we can continue to have a rivalry that is only an hours drive and lasts a while.

Go Bombers in six!!!

I agree with this guy when he says Bombers hockey peaked at Hara Arena. In my opinion both teams peaked playing in older arenas. The Cyclones played at the Gardens and averaged a sellout and the Bombers had great attendance and some sellouts at Hara. Now I think you could put both teams' average attendance together and we couldnt get 5000. Its really sad when you go to games and you can count the people during intermission. Hockey around southwest Ohio just isnt what a couple thousand of us want it to be.

GO HABS GO!!!
