With no affiliations, cant pay Columbus, wont buy another Zamboni after your own season ticket holders said they have been asking for new one for over 5 years. I would worry more about your team then the Cyclones.

The team does not own the Zamboni, the arena does, send your email complaints to them. I did.

Okay, that might be the case, but the Bummers are the hockey team so why don't they have a back-up plan. This apparently isn't the first time this has happened.

The problems that have occurred are operations of the Nutter Center problems maybe they should be the ones answering the questions. Instead they try to lay blame elsewhere. The only backup plan the Bummers would have would be to either break or buyout the lease and see if Hara could do a better job, and we know with the money issues the lease buyout is not an option.

IMO, if they are experiencing all these troubles with NC, then they need to do something about it. Honestly, I could not tell you how many people were LIVID tonight over the way they handled things. Pissing people off isn't gonna get them more money.

4Clones,
You guys kill me. Do you have any common sense? Name one team that owns a Zamboni, and uses it in an arena that they don't own. Do The Cyclones own the Zamboni at USEA? NO. So if they have Zam issues I'm not gonna go off crying like a 2 year old about the home team.

Caitskee,
The ability to have a back-up plan for that situation would be great. But, the cost of that back-up plan would not be viable for any team to carry. The non-notification I would say is definately the fault of The Bummers front office. Hell, there wasn't even a pregame broadcast thru B2. So, I'm figuring they knew well ahead of time that the game was not going to be played.

About The Bummers moving, Mongomery County is in the design phase of complete overhaul of the county fairgrounds. In that proposal, they plan to build a small ice arena that would hold 5,000+ spectators. I'm hoping it goes thru and is geared towards hockey. If that happens, I'm sure The Bummers would be that arena's first tenants.

Either way, I can only say that it sucked that the game was cancelled and everyone had a lot of time wasted tonight.

Exactly. Just about every camera records video, so they need to get over that one. And my little 3" lens isn't going to hurt anyone or anything, at least I'm getting decent shots that people might actually see once in a while...

A Dayton season ticket holder came up and talked to us during the delay. He the one that told me they have been asking the team for a newer Zamboni. The Cyclones own their zamboni's since the arena owns the team..

danielle, i had the same problem last year. i have a fuji camera with a rather big lens on it that cannot be removed. last year i got grief from one of them saying it was a removable lens. i told him it wasn't but insisted it was. i told him to try and take it off but remember the camera cost me $600.00 (he breaks it-he bought it). he finally let me in ut when trying to take pictures during warm-ups three other people came up to me and told me i wasn't allowed to have that camera in there. i person said he saw me change the lens but told him it was just the collar. so to end my story, i just don't bring this camera with me anymore. i did invest in a pocket-sized digital camcorder to bring with me.

That's not going to happen, with me just not bringing it. It's an extremely expensive camera & it was my birthday present, and hockey pictures were why it was bought for me. Makes me so mad. I'm like no, the lens does not come off! If they'd just LOOK they'd see that. And people who stare you down like that need to grow up. Dayton didn't have an issue, Youngstown didn't have an issue, the Reds haven't had an issue, the Washington Nationals didn't have an issue with it, and the Lake Erie Monsters just asked if it came off and then let me go... leave it to the CYCLONES to make a big deal of it.

Yeah, I guess it didn't suck that Dayton didn't have to fabricate another attendance number.

And moving to a new rink that houses 5k??? I thought your attendance was 7k+! They won't be able to stage a sell out with open seats, so that would be interesting.

Well, I was trying to be nice with my previous post, but since yet another Cyclones fan does not have any common sense, I guess it doesn't matter. So let me ask this...

Being that The Nutter Center does not own The Bummers, what do they have a chance to gain by inflating the attendance numbers? Remember, The Bummers Organization has no control over the ticket counts. And please, use a little common sense when you respond.

About the proposed arena, The capacity has not been set. Notice I stated, "5,000+" in my post. That's the info that was given in an article. Being that you probably have no clue what goes into the planning of any building, in the pre-design phase, demographics are a large source of information as to how large a building should be. I could go further into it, but seeing how you seem to just want to rant and rave about the subject, rather think about what has been said before you make a fool out of yourself. So be it.

I guess I'll get you one at the next game. Unless you are wearing that Ducks jersey.
